Trade Partners
Good homes get built by good trades. If you run a crew in the West Kootenays and you take pride in what you leave behind, we would like to know you.
The trades we work with
We build custom homes, additions, and full renovations from Castlegar through the West Kootenays. That takes a full bench, and we are always open to meeting:
- Excavation and site prep
- Concrete and foundations
- Framing
- Roofing
- Windows and doors
- Siding and exterior
- Insulation and building envelope
- Drywall and taping
- Septic and water systems
- Landscaping and hardscaping
- Supplier or materials vendor
- Painting and finishing
- Interior trim and finish carpentry
- Cabinetry and millwork
- Flooring
- Tile and stone
- Electrical
- Plumbing
- HVAC and ventilation
- Gasfitting
- Engineering, design, or surveying
Do not see your trade here? Apply anyway. If you do good work in this valley, we want your name on file.
What you can expect from us
Your scope in writing.
You will know what is in your scope, what is not, and where it sits in the schedule before you start. No surprises halfway through.
A site that is ready for you.
We try hard not to waste your day. If we are running behind, you hear it from us early, not when you pull into the driveway.
Repeat work.
We would rather build a short list of trades we trust and keep calling them than shop every job to the lowest number.
What we ask of our trades
Nothing unusual, but we do hold to it.
WorkSafeBC coverage.
An active account, or Personal Optional Protection if you are an owner-operator without employees. We ask for a clearance letter before you start on site.
A valid business licence.
A valid business licence in the community you work out of.
Certification where the province requires it.
Electrical, gasfitting, refrigeration and air conditioning, steamfitting and pipefitting, and sheet metal work are compulsory trades in BC, so those crews need to be registered or certified with SkilledTradesBC. Electrical and gas contractors also need a Technical Safety BC licence with a qualified Field Safety Representative.
Site safety, taken seriously.
Our sites run to WorkSafeBC standards and we expect your crew to work the same way.
