Careers
We are always looking for good carpenters. If you take pride in what you build and you would rather work close to home than chase a camp job, we would like to hear from you.
Who we're looking for
Framing through finish. People who can read a set of plans, work clean, and walk away from a house they would be happy to own.
You do not need a Red Seal. We care more about what you can do than what is on paper. If you do have your ticket, tell us, because it matters for the bigger jobs.
What we actually care about:
- You show up, and you show up on time
- You work safe, and you keep an eye on the person beside you
- You can work from plans without someone standing over you
- You care what it looks like when it is done
- You have your own hand tools and a way to get to site
What the work looks like
We are a small outfit building custom homes, additions, and full renovations around Castlegar and through the West Kootenays.
You are home at night.
No camp work, no living out of a hotel. The jobs are here in the valley.
You are not doing one thing all year.
On a crew this size you will frame, you will finish, and you will watch a house go from a hole in the ground to handing over the keys.
Your work stays in this valley, and so do we.
These are houses you will drive past for the next twenty years. Our name is on them and yours is in them.

No resume needed, though you are welcome to attach one. Takes a couple of minutes.
What happens next
We read it.
Every one, and it comes straight to us, not into some inbox nobody checks.
If there is a fit, we call you.
A conversation first, then usually a day on site so we can both see how it goes.
If we are not hiring right now, you stay on the list.
This valley is small and crews change. We would rather call someone we have already met.
Not a carpenter?
If you run your own crew or your own trade business, our trade partners page is the one you want. That is where we take on subcontractors and suppliers.
Looking for labouring or apprentice work? Put your name in above anyway and say so in the last box.
Rather just call?
Give us a ring at 250 558 9531, Monday to Friday, 8:00 to 5:00.
